In the 2016–17 season, Matt Rogers (of the Waters Green Lemmings) was top of the B League Individual table at his untimely death in February. It was decided (with the agreement of Dave Partington and everyone else at the top of the table) to give the title to Matt and the shield to his family. Matt played 13 games in this season and his best 12 scores totalled 408 points.
